Delicious Bacon, Cheese and Tomato Quiche with a potato base which is perfect for lunches, picnics and more.
I love crustless quiche, but sometimes you just need some sort of crust, so I was determined to try and come up with a base for a quiche that was low. This potato based worked perfectly. It was really good and crisped up on the edges, just how you would expect.
Perfect for lunches for the week or taking on picnics etc. Kids love it too, making it a great family friendly recipe.

OMG OMG, I have just made your quiche and I have to say it is the best I have ever tasted, much better than the ones you buy!!!. It is really cheesy which I love and the base is nice and firm yet crumbly. I will be making this again without a doubt as it is well worth the 2.5 syns!!!!
Keep doing what you do (((((PLEASE)))))
You have reminded me that healthy food can be tasty!!!!!!
Thanks

Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Samantha says
Hi, I was wondering what size dish did you use?
admin says
it was a standard quiche dish. Not sure on the diameter, about the size of a full plate if that helps.

Hi could I ask is the base the same consistency as pastry when cooked or is it of a soft consistency. I really like quiche but not without the crust so am keen to make this but like the base to resemble pastry base
Thanks
Tracy Witts says
Hi can i ask is the pastry base firm and crumbly like normal quiche base. I love quiche but only with a crust so am keen to make this but am concerned it will just be like a potato base
Thanks
Anonymous says
it wont be exactly the same as a real pastry base, as of course it contains potato, but it does hold some crispness and is a nice replacement.

Thank you x

Hi, when you say 2.5 syns per serving, what size/weight actually is a serving?
Thanks 🙂
Shevy (Slimming Eats) says
all the recipes on Slimming Eats - giving the servings on the recipe box. This serves 4, so a quarter of the whole quiche is a serving 🙂
Melanie says
Can you freeze the quiche.
Shevy (Slimming Eats) says
It should freeze okay, but I personally find a quiche-like this is best enjoyed within 3 days of cooking.
Marie says
I’ve just made the quiche, it’s delicious love the potato crust will certainly be making this again another hit
Vivienne Pennington says
